Hey all.

Need a psu for a mate somit reliable and well made with around 700w i reckon. Thought of corsair due to the one i had which was the 620w hx one but they dont make em anymore and wonder what a decent one like that would be nowadays thats around 700w ish.

Price £90 or under.

Modular one it must be.

Is single rails still relevant these days if so maybe a choice of one of them types?

Info from mate.

He wishes to upgrade to a 660 in the not to distant future and maybe a another fan.

Not sure but this sounded reasonable from the description and is a 80 plus gold rating.

XFX have seasonic internals, which are deemed to be the best PSU maker at the moment. Very reliable, quiet and reasonably priced for the wattage and modular.

Cant find a review for the xfx 750w bronze psu. Any help finding one see what the pros and cons are?

Pros: innards made by Seasonic, looks cool, its quiet, reliability.

Cons: The modular cables are no better than the ones that come with a CiT/Powercool modular PSU, the ones that come with Corsair/Coolermaster/others are night and day better.

Here's a review: http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story&reid=184

Its an older model but its the same internals/etc just the stickers on the box and fan colour that's changed.

Told him about that 850w on offer and he went for that so cheers for the recommendations of xfx ones. Should be a good one i hope.
