Sending files.. Any ideas?

yes the limiting factor is that upload speed - there is no way around it so either do it over a long period of time or post it on a dvd

I would get a corsair h80 or something,but I have no money :/

I'm not the best with rendering setting and project settings. What project/render settings would you suggest? To be fair it is going on youtube, so it would really matter that its 720p and not 1080p because I can imagine half the people Thant watch aren't going to even watch it in full HD?

You haven't got any other option other than to reduce the video quality to make it smaller if you want it quicker. If you can't do that then you're just going to have to put up with it.

I can't see why you can't just make a low quality preview version (under 1000Kb/s, 720x405) to show each other and then upload the final high quality to Youtube.

Yeah that's a good point... If it was a preview, then I would make it very low quality. What it is, is recorded footage from fraps (as I'm sure you know they create huge file sizes), then rendered out in Vegas, to reduce the video size. This is them sent to my friend for editing, as he is best at that, then uploaded from his virgin cable connection to youtube. I'm rather jealous of his Internet, although it isn't quite a fibre connection.

That raspberry Pi idea isn't the worst actually! Ever since I saw them come up on Engadget, ive always wanted one to play with. They're not too expensive I don't think either.

An old laptop could work! Or my normal one when I fix it in a few weeks. My brother knocked it off the sofa and it landed on the power plug side, ripping the laptop power jack from its solder. Not an expensive fix though £1.75 as I have solder and other stuff kicking about. :D

Sharing porn? :D.

If my internet was that bad, I'd just purchase a USB stick and post it between the two of you.

As somebody else said, do they really need to be 1080p?
720 is hardly a noticeable difference, and even further down if possible
