Is the Lian Li PC P80 Armoursuit still a good air cooling case???
I thought about getting one of these ages ago when it came out but got put off because of the price.
One of the main reasons I've been looking at this case over newer models is the size, but also that its one of the few cases nowadays to still have a removable motherboard tray.

few cases nowadays to still have a removable motherboard tray.

Unless you are working on a ITX or tiny MATX build having a removable motherboard tray isn't really needed and in most cases makes the chassis weaker that its non-removable counterpart.

Building in a large full tower case is a total pain if there isn't a removable motherboard tray. Its so much simpler to pull the tray out and build it on the table and slot it back in later.;)

I have this case and have nothing but praise for this case. Airflow is great, plenty of room for so much expansion and with a little modding can house two 360 rads if you decide somewhere down the line to watercool. I bought mine not long after launch and it has housed 4 different builds without any problems. Thats the thing about paying for a case that is quality and has many features to boot, longevity. Outdated I really beg to differ, overpriced well thats for the end user to decide really on what they plan to house in it. I can spurl off many other cases which I think are overpriced over this but again thats subjective.

The removable motherboard tray however I have to agree, it's kinda useless. The amount of space you have to work with you will not need it removed if I am honest with you. I used it once when I did my first build but after that i saw no point.

It's outdated it has 0 cable management and has 120mm fans there are cases out there half it's price that will cool better and quieter with good cable management the way I see it.

Yeah you can get window side panal. If I remember there about 2 different ones to choose from.

In regards to cable management yes there is only two holes at the bottom but the case is so large. Once the 24 pin is behind the motherboard tray going to the motherboard you will see why it's not needed. Same for the pci-e cables. So in essence once they are there it's hidden and no bunch up behind the motherboard tray. I guess you have to have a little play around and think a little but it's fine. I'll upload a pic a little later to show you how neat it can be with a little thought.

At work so can't upload as of yet.

Yeah I think it's a good case, and I really have not looked back since buying. However if you are going to get this case I suggest that you look at the p80N, this is the newer updated version with cable routing holes. Pretty much the same layout however the psu is put at the bottom whereas the older version like mine has the psu mounted to the top of the case.
