HD7950 Loud Fans!?

So which profile would i want if i wanted to keep it as close as possible to factory settings but getting the temps lower, as that is my main concern here

It's normal for the top card to hit insane temps in xfire, xfire is best watercooled but yea those coolers don't look very good surprised msi rolled with a single fanned 7950 those things needs triple or twin fans especially if in xfire.

What about IceQ? Great cooler! During BF3 I get 61c and other games 63-64c is max with 1070/1500 1.110v

Hmm, those card are £250, i managed to get my MSI's when there were on sale for £207, so im looking at £43 more than my MSI card. I would just be better getting the Arctic Accelero 7950 coolers which can be had for around £45??

Unless there is a better cooler (bar water)

Accelero would be the best option, but if you want to save some cash buy Gelid Icy Vision A

Are they CrossFire compatible though?

It looks like it is.

EDIT

It is ;)
On bay you can find a good offer of around 34 pounds, you get 2 Gelid Icy Visions for the price of one Accelero.

EDIT:
Heres also an review of the cooler.

Yeah does appear to be half the price of the Arctic Accelero. Shame there aren't any side by side comparison videos between the 2, but i doubt the Arctic Accelero is twice as good.

EDIT is it actually compatible with the 7950 cards, as it only lists up to 78XX cards?

Hmm noticed this,

"Take note that use of this cooler requires room for 3 slots. To use these coolers in SLI the system must have at least 2 slots between the PCI-E slots being used."

I dont have 2 slots between my cards :(....

Or though i do have 3 PCI-E slots, can crossfire be used in this config 1st PCI-E & 3rd PCI-E solts?

The again it does appear to have 2 mini PCI slots btween the 2 main PCI-E slots...

Unless modding with a different cooler and with both cards none reference cooler, you want a side fan feeding them air.

GOD DAMN!!!

Im using the Benchmark found here in the Steam forums as the steam version doesn't appear to have the benchmark, http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1700314.

I changed all settings to Ultra High, AA x16 and at a res of 2560x1440.

I lowered the core voltage from 1125 to 1100.

I had to stop the benchmark after 10 loops as the temps were ridiculous!!, after 10 loops:

GPU1
Temp 92c
Usage 95%
Volt 1.250
Fan 96%

GPU2
Temp 82c
Usage 76%
Volts 1.169
Fan 70%

Thats not right is it??

Ok, finally got the correct Gelid cooler for my HD7950, and just done the same test as above. After 12 Loops on the Crysis Benchmark i got the following

Temp 64c
Usage 99%
Volts 1.169
Fan 47%

That is just incredible!!!, a drop of almost 30c and the fan isnt even at 50% speed!!!, idle temps are 33c!!!. Very happy with the performance!! :D
