A friend just linked me to this, and I did a search and couldn't find anything else on the forum. http://entertainment.ie/wtf/Watch-R...chors-to-nervous-wrecks-on-live-TV/193837.htm

Absolutely hilarious, and really shows how completely and utterly different our American cousins are in so many respects to us Brits. Yes, there is a British woman there, but she is clearly infected with the same Americanized attitude as the others due to working on the program.

While Brand is undoubtedly a douchebag, he is still a quick-witted and clever guy, and he really shows the hosts for the shallow, superficial and fake TV personalities that seem to be common in mainstream American news. Well worth a watch. :)

Douchebag shows up shallow TV celebrities.

It's a slow news day.

To be news, something does not have to be a catastrophic world event. This is just light-hearted and amusing, especially since it's the first time it has likely ever happened to them on live TV.

Not it's not and neither is he. Was he putting on a Frank Spencer voice deliberately?

Agreed, he is not normally hilarious by any stretch. However the situation, and resulting discomfort of said ninnies on live TV, was funny.

As for the voice... that's his voice.

He named one of his books BookyWook or something didn't he? I cba to search because I'm not a Brand fan but do recall something on Graham Norton's show a while back).

It isn't exactly hard to put US media presenters in their place though, Jon Stewart does it almost daily :p

I don't like him, although I can't quite explain why, he comes across as being superior to everyone else but I'm not aware of anything he's done that warrants that attitude.

It was however quite amusing to watch the presenters squirm around his unpredictable character :) and he's completely right about the other bloke being rude when he keeps referring to him as 'him' or 'he'. I'm aware this last bit is ironic but I cba to click the link again to check his name :p

Big fan, but then I like intelligent, articulate people which seems to be the polar opposite of GD most of the time ;)
