Just heard this news on BBC. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-22977174

I in no way follow fashion or celebrities but decided to post because I think they should be jailed for selling poorly made goods.

When I was still walking I went out to buy some jeans and had trouble finding a pair that fitted nicely until I came across some D&G obnes that felt really nice so I bought a pair.

Wore them for a week (not continuously) and decided to buy 2 more pairs for work.

Within a month one pair came undone at the seam and the other 2 pairs lost the studs of the back pocket.

I took them back to the shop and was told it was natural wear and asked whether or not I sat down in them.

When I replied I did, the shop assistant informed me that they weren't for lounging around in but there were fashion wear. (whatever the hell that is)

Before I strangled the git I went home and used them after that for painting or other dirty work. I had forgotten all about it until I just saw the news.

Hope they lose their appeal.

Isn't tax avoidance legal though? I'm guessing they found something else in the course of the investigation.

Selling a company thats worth hundreds of times more than you sell it for though after stripping its assets and moving them to another one to avoid paying tax on over £1 billion isn't legal though.

Looking at D&G clothes, you'd be forgiven for thinking the company was started as a social experiment to prove people will buy absolute **** as long as the price tag is high enough.

Will they see jail though? Football players/coaches/clubs, politicians, fashion designers - almost certainly avoid the strictest sentence/jail time on appeal in Italy.
