Radeon HD 7850 2GB help!!

Hi all,

I bought this back in March:

Gigabyte ATI Radeon HD 7850 OC Windforce 2X 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

Please help! It started crashing every now and then which was annoying but not the end of the world. However, now I just get these green stripes vertically on the screen and it won't load windows anymore.

Is there a way to fix it easily or has it died for good? Really annoying if it has died after such a short time.

Is it currently overclocked?
You could try putting it back to stock if it is.

give it a good old blow out and repaste?

usually points to gpu memory with vertical muti coloured lines

you didnt happen to buy it off b-grade did you ?

That model has had a lot of problems. Do a search on here and you will find several threads of it crashing, grey screen of death vertical lines etc.

I sent mine back under DSR.

I did indeed buy it b grade; seemed to good to be true and I guess it was. Even more annoyingly it means it is too old to return under warranty.

I have tried reseating it and blowing on it (it happened before and this seemed to do the job) but this time it won't work.

In all of your experience does it sound like I am going to have to fork out for a new one again?

Rma time, if oCuk won't deal with it as it's b grade, Gigabyte will have to honour the warranty.

Go to Gigabytes website and request RMA help

Rma is the term for returning faulty goods.

I would raise a Customer Service query here in the forum and speak to oCuk staff direct and see if they will deal with it.

If not go to the Gigabyte web site and start the returns process with them.
