Hi all,

My old PSU (a Tagan 600w) is starting to squeal a bit under load - failing capacitors, maybe. It must be at least 8 years old, so reliability has been fantastic.

Could I have recommendations for a replacement, please? Tagan don't seem to be around any more, so I'm looking for a something similarly reliable at 600w or higher. Price isn't a consideration (well, I'd draw the line at a diamond encrusted Dolce and Gabbana creation...) the big thing for me is reliability. And it's got to be modular.

Seasonic were looking good, but one of the reviewers on here complained the cables were too short for a full size tower case - which I've got.

Any more ideas, folks?

Forgot to mention, it needs to power my ATi 7850 and have enough headroom for a possible graphics card upgrade in the future. So 600w is probably a bare minimum.

For me (this is from memory havent checked the shop for a while and cant acces while at college :p) it would be a Seasonic, Antec or XFX. 500W will be plenty and a Seasonic 500W at that best IMO.
