So I've run cat6 round the house and finished the room sockets. Tomorrow I start wiring the patch panel. I want to run the telephone line over the cat6 so I can hook up the Sky boxes. We have 3 Sky boxes.

Is it not just a case of getting a filter, a triple BT connector and 3 BT to RJ45 patch leads?

master-socket > filter > triple connector > BT to RJ45 patch lead.

We don't use the house line for calls. Only Sky and internet.

Oh ok. Its just I was looking on this site BT over RJ45 which made it sound overly complicated. I didn't think it would be.

Ta :)

As long as the pins are done correctly it makes no difference.

I often have to make a BT to RJ45 cable (taking pins 2 and 5 from BT to 4 and 5 on RJ45) to allow an analogue line to connect through structured cabling to a phone system port.
