Tasty Credit Card Offer from Tesco

I tried applying a while ago for a Tesco credit card but got declined (despite a good credit rating).

They say you can't reapply for 6 months but I think I'm past that now so it might be worth trying over the phone instead of online…

I've got the one with 16 months on purchases and 9 on balance transfers. It's proving pretty handy as all my car stuff has fallen at once (4 new tyres as 2 had nails in, new brake discs and pads, service, tax, mot and insurance) So insurance and service costs have gone on card. I'll pay it off over next 3-4 months. Beats paying the silly amount of interest when paying for insurance monthly.
 
It's a good deal but I won't bother trying because tesco declined a loan application when my bank quite happily accepted it. Kind of miffed as to why.

It's particularly good for balance transfers as there is no balance transfer fee. That's the main draw here, as it's usually charged as a percentage of the fee transferred in addition to the interest.

It's a good card for anyone wishing to extent their repayments.
 
Just applied and got accepted. Could be handy in the coming months. Out of interest, and feel free to tell me to stop being so nosey, what credit limits are people getting? I got £4500. Seems to be the running them whenever I take out a card for some reason

That's because it's based on your own finances.

If your finances are worse off or you have more financial commitments, your credit limit is obviously going to be lower. Personally I don't know why anyone would want to share theirs but each to their own.
 
They've been doing this sort of thing for ages! It is good, one of the best deals available at the moment IIRC.
 
Sounds a good deal. Been thinking of switching my CC anyhow. So seems useful as get clubcard points on it as well.

Wanted to get this but alas I already have a tesco card with nothing on it. But I have the card.

I've just switched from barclaycard to Halifax at 1% but it's only 1300 so not much
