Had this tv for 5 years and its great. Turned it on last night and the colours are all dark, and there is shed loads of ghosting. Watching the cricket and every time there is a table or menu, it stays opaque on the screen in the back ground for an age.

Thoughts on getting it fixed?

Need some advice please.

I had this on my old Bravia (similar series), was a known defect apparently. Dodgy connectors to the LCD panel itself. Try squeezing the bezel all around the screen and you might find one bit (where the dodgy connector is) that fixes / affects the issue.

Mine was just out of warranty, and not economical to fix (got some quotes).

Tried to fix it and killed the ****er! Bad times. Live and learn.:p

Mine is also a bit broken, I've got a black/grey streak in the screen, as if someone has tried to clean it with a dirty wet cloth or something. Apparently it's an issue that seems reasonably common, but Sony don't want to know. I'll never buy another Sony TV again as their customer support is shocking! Strange as their PS3 support is fantastic.

Is it anything like that?
