Just saw some plonker in a VW polo with bright yellow headlights... Never seen something so absurd in my life.

Is this actually a "thing" that people do nowadays?! :o

Not particularly surprised the police have been as useless as ever in stopping this kind of thing.

Yes European headlights used to be yellow. The theory behind them is that they make it easier to see at night.

I've got mixed feelings :p

Saw a cracking M3 in Estorial Blue today, and it had blue as blue can be HIDs :(

In Europe (maybe just France) a few years ago used to have road markings and signs painted in yellow, as such headlights with a yellow light brought up these markings better. They're called Selective Yellow. I think they were more specifically designed as being better for adverse weather conditions.

I guess this is just a retro thing. :)

I've seen a couple of cars with yellow lights lately, quite liked them actually but then again I am of that R5GTT era so that probably explains it.

As above, it was introduced in France after the war but due to EU regs it was phased out in the 90s.
This. - Is nobody else old enough to remember having to paint your headlights yellow when you went to France on holiday? :p
