Please, I don't nit-pick your posts and would appreciate your not nit-picking mine. Have a good day.
General consensus of users is air coolers are more dependable than CLC and cool most applications with no problems.Size is completely irrelevant. "oh it's bigger it'll last longer" is a complete fallacy.
I have to stop you right there.
Most people who buy aftermarket cooler will generally keep the stock cooler they replaced it with as a backup so they already have one
Big air cooler do take up space over CPU but really their total area isn't much more than CLC. The difference is the CLC radiator & fans are mounted to case so size is not as obvious. Yes, big air coolers do make it harder to access RAM but that's about only problem.. and if we use low profile RAM it's not that much of a problem.. besides, how often do we need to access our RAM?

This +1. I also found with the H100 and Antec Kuhler 920 that you get a bunch of cables from the fans and pump unit that are sprawled all around, and you can't hide them easily.
*Sigh*It's not about accessing the RAM though is it. Most big air coolers will not fit full stop with standard RAM sizes.
Other than the 4-pin PWM cable, which would be there with a big air cooler, there's 1 cable and under ordinary lighting (not the bright flash that went off when taking the above) that ONE cable is almost invisible.
Granted if I were running the fans from the block there would be 2 more but they would just be as invisible as the one pictured.
Now if, hypothetically I'd bought, say Dominator Plats before buying a big air cooler, imagine how annoying it is, having spent a small fortune on that specific RAM to have to go out an buy more, less aesthetically pleasing, low profile RAM.

2. Weeks for replacement? Try 5 working days, including 2 international shipping journeys. (based on my personal experience)
What is best ram to use with K2 on say a Gigabyte OC Haswell board? Geil Black Dragon should be fine with it?(i mean for the clearance)
