Is this inconsiderate of me?

No, rent and have a credit card but only buy things i can afford

Right, so you have no clue what the other people have to pay each month. Bear in mind too that the groom is going to have a wedding to pay for soon!

Also if you're paying off a credit card then you're not buying what you can afford...

Whoever organises it first gets first dibs?! :/ if people want to go to both then they will.

That's why we sent the Save the Dates for our wedding a year early! :p

Its paid off. If people have to pay for other stuff then dont come.

I am not forcing anyone to come, simply putting ideas out there in hope of getting +5 people on a weekend away

You are starting to sound inconsiderate. Ultimately, if he is a good friend, why would you not consider delaying your Poland trip until after the stag do plans are formulated? Especially if you are only "putting out ideas".

Hmmm I know I would struggle to save for two trips away in a 9 month period and my income is larger than most.

Either you have no idea how to save, you have no idea what constitutes a "larger income than most", or both.

I've had no problems in the last 12 months going on two skiing holidays, a week in Devon, A 4 day stint to Disneyland Paris, and have paid to go to Florida in September.

My income is certainly not massively "larger than most".

Also, a "Stag do" where the main "event" is sitting on my arse watching a foreign football team play in a foreign country... sounds incredibly dull to me.

About 70% of the people invited on the Poland trip he doesnt even know. The stag do plans are not set in stone yet for 2 weeks after the date i planned. People were asking me about sorting another Poland visit for next year and we went a similar time before

Hmm.. Poland is always there. Stag dos are but once a lifetime (hopefully!).

Even though the stag do sounds pants... I would support your friend.

Wait till the boot is on the other foot!

It's not good of you to organise something so close to the groups stag (but then I assume you didnt know either)
However no need to take it down, just change it to a different month. So there's a gap so people can afford it.

:D or I might have a large mortgage being repaid aggressively (prices are eye-wateringly ridiculous over here), 2 children attending public school and 1 at a private school. The vast majority of my earnings are tied up in one way or another such that there is little to play with at the end of the month.

Why dont you talk to the people that will be potentially involved in both activities and find out their viewpoint, some might still want to do both as planned or rearranged, some only one...

It doesnt sound like your planned trip can become the stag do if he doesnt know half the people, so just ask the ones affected and see what they say.
