I have been slowly slowly buying my new PC and getting near to the main components. I will be going from building AMD only to my first Intel and 1 thing
is worrying me.

Intel motherboards with bent pins:confused:

How do they get bent, is it the cooler ?.

The pins are bent and angled from new, so if you get a new board and see this then don't worry about it.

It's peoples heavy handedness when inserting the CPU into the socket that can cause damage to these delicate and small pins. So just drop the CPU straight down into the socket.

Your worst worry will be when you close the socket retention lever and hear the lovely crunching sound you get:p

Thank you! I did not know they was angled, I was thinking they was pointing upwards. I feel much more confident now :-).
