How to stay in the friend zone with a girl?

it seems a bit weird that you took her number and are then thinking about being friends with her on the basis that shes hot. i just dont see why any one would do that

Ok then, then you'd know that you'll have to be dead straight with this girl and tell her outright you're not interested. They don't tend to do 'only friends with boys' unless they're BBC's

You already said she's an overseas student so she's straight from China. So yeah you're going to have to turn her straight down otherwise she'll think she's got a chance. they're pretty black and white about the opposite sex, it's either full on relationship or nothing

Right. This could go either of two, three ways; 1. She runs away. 2. She stays and wants to hold your hand 3. You nail gun her to the floor though double thinking induced mania.

Not really, i gave her number on the assumption that i'd be able to friend her but then realised that maybe it wasn't such a good idea...:o

Well i was pretty straight to begin with when i told her i have a gf and been together for 2 years... Maybe even thats not clear enough then :S. Well im meeting her with some other friends tomorrow so i shall tell her dead straight unless i see her being friendly tomorrow instead of wanting to get close to me. I need to read her right tomorrow... essential!

Yes it is easy, but harder to keep someone in the friend zone that you want keeping there.
 
Talk to your girlfriend about it, see how she feels. Pursue a normal friendship with this girl, and if she starts becoming...too much...then be honest with her that you just want a friendship.

No, just don't flirt with her. This issue is only arising because you enjoy the attention she's giving you and will probably lead her along so it continues. The fact you went on about how cute she was in the first post shows your intentions are questionable, and you have admitted yourself that you're playing with fire.

Don't go out of your way to meet her by yourself at any point. A relationship is hardly gonna form if you don't see her!

Like that's how reality works, his missus will hate everything about her, especially if she's cute! Then again, if you keep your friendship with her a secret, and she finds out then you're in for an earful.

That is unless the OP found that rare exception to the female species that isn't a total basketcase.
