hey all,

after getting some help on here to sort out my overclock it was noted that my ram was best left alone as it's not great for overclocking.
running corsair vengence 1600 9c t2 1.5v (think it's low pro? prob needs to be cos looking at a d14 cooler)

tbh i know nothing about ram. apprently the mobo can only run 1600 ram anyway, so is i possible to get better ram for my mobo? would like to oc the ram if possible but people on here said it's not worth it with my current kit.

is it true that my ram is not worth playing with? if so where should it be replaced with?

Same CPU and looking at buying the same RAM, so I'd also like to know what the best 2x8GB RAM would be that allows decent if moderate overclock that also doesn't break the bank

I'm running corsair vengeance lp 1600mhz 9 9 9 24 2t I have managed to overclock them to 1866mhz 9 10 9 24 1t

With the maxxmem2 benchmark you get about 2000+mb across the board extra performance over the stock setting.

Avexir MPower Yellow Series (2x8GB) 1600MHz £89.99

These seem to be the cheapest 2x8GB kits on overclockers, does anybody know if they're any good for a moderate overclock?

Corsair vengeance seem to be another 20 quid on top.

For another £12 there's:
Patriot Viper "Black Mamba" Generation 3 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel kit (PV316G160C9K)

Or is it all going to be much the same for a moderate overclock and am I overly concerned about the ram?

I bought 8 gig of the Samsung Green for use with the hardware you can see in my sig strip.
Got it from OCUK in February and paid just short of £38 for it at that time.
Brilliant memory and OC'd it to 1866mhz so am well happy and don't see the need to OC it any higher.
