Opinions on new MacBook Air

Anyone know if I upgrade from my Late 2010 MB Air 2.13 Core 2 Duo to the 2013 MB that I will see a decent performance increase?

Depends what you are doing, but yes, you will.

Currently trying to decide whether to sell my 2011 MBP and to grab a new MBA. The performance will be roughly the same, it's the battery life that truly appeals. Also trying to figure out how much I'd get, and how much I'd save by not upgrading now and selling in a few years time. I'd say the difference would be about £50, which is worth it for double the battery life!

13-inch : 128GB
1.3GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor
Turbo Boost up to 2.6GHz
Intel HD Graphics 5000
8GB memory

£884.40 mate (£816 if 4GB)

My god I am tempted, I just don't know if I could justify it alongside my desktop. It will be useful at uni I suppose, the battery life is a big plus to me, I used to hate taking my laptop to uni for it to run out of battery within about two classes.

How are macs for upgrading yourself? I know some could update the RAM quite easily, but I don't know if that's the case any more.

I can tell you in about 5-6 days.
There's always a load of those when new hardware comes out though. It's usually nothing. Often just router reboots needed.

About 2/3 of all the Apple hardware I've ever owned has had wifi problems out of the box. It comes with the territory.

Thankfully fixes usually arrive within a couple of weeks.

im upgrading from a 6 month old air to the new air (the battery life would be helpful).

is it worth going for a i7 this time? I am tempted

Got a fully maxed one of these coming from work next week.

Not sure what to do with my MBP now…sell and get an iMac? Is the Haswell iMac in July a definite? Not sure whether to buy now or wait.

I've decided I'm going to wait for the release of Mavericks, hopefully that should be around September, when I will be purchasing for the first couple of weeks of uni. Mavericks is also supposed to provide even further battery life!

Id say sell the MBP and get the iMac, the Haswell for iMac is still a rumour but who knows

From what I've read, not really. Also the i7s appear to get slightly less battery life.

Not to the point that it'll make a noticeae difference. We're talking minutes here.

As usual, whether the i5 upgrade will be worth it will depend on whether or not the performance improvement of around 15% or so will be of benefit. The new 1.3GHz is roughly comparable to my 2011 MBP 13 (2.3GHz i5), so for me, I won't be upgrading to it. If the MBA becomes too slow, an extra 15% won't rely make all that much difference.

Mine did that from Saturday until this morning. This morning it just said out for delivery. You will get it tomorrow.

I ordered my a i7, 8gb ram yesterday afternoon, it says delivery on the 2nd, whats the chances it will arrive before that as I fly out of the uk on the 1st.
