hi , i recently built a new system and opted for the his 7950 ice q boost gfx card. Now ive come in to a bit of cash and was thinking of doing one of two things. 1...another 7950 and go xfire but im abit put of by some of the posts on here about issues with xfire or sell my 7950 and put the money to what ive got and buy something a bit better . My budget would be about £400. Would i see much improvement in agfx card in this price range compared to my his 7950 . Ant advice would be most grateful.

What resolution are you gaming at? If it's 1080P I would stick with your single HD 7950 and either put the money towards another component like SSD / better monitor or wait until AMD release their new cards as their will be choice on the AMD side and likely price re adjusting on the Nvidia side.

+1

Unless you have 1440p or higher, or 1080p 120hz in which case...

What cpu have you got? A budget of only £400 will only get you a 7970 or a 770. Assuming your cpu is up to the task id stick another 7950 in there and have faster than titan performance for a fraction of the price.

ive got an i7 3770 , only play at 1080 and ive got a ssd . Like i said i would like the performance xfire brings but would it be a hassle to set these cards up. I know you run them in xfire but unlike me you know how to tweak to get the right settings. .... I was thinking about a new monitor if all else fails but would my 7950 run a 120 hz monitor...cheers chaps
