Anyone gone from a PC to iMac then back to a PC?

D you spend lots of money on a GPU to get a few more frames out of the latest game? If so that's not valuing money! :D

There is a difference between buying something that you want and buying something that you want, but buying the most expensive version of said thing when the more expensive version is no better ;)

So by that, buy what you want, but don't upgrade if the more expensive new version isn't really better?

Let people buy what ever they want. I like gaming, and I like OS X. I get both.
It's surely only "not" worth money if you don't use it fully.

I miss my iMac and its level of integration so much I'm selling up and moving back to one. I just like how simple everything is to do on OSX and my fiance has a macbook air so it makes home networking far more simple also.

Have both. The 27 inch imac and a windows machine. Vastly prefer using the windows machine. Though I think that may have to do with the massive 27 inch size as I just feel uncomfortable using it. The fact that I like using the smaller macbooks seems to support this.

My mrs bought a mac book pro. I asked her what she was going to use it for 'oh Internet and stuff- it looks really nice though'.

Tried explaining she could save nearly £600 and let me build her something better but I got a blank look.

Washed my hands of it.

I'd have suggested on of the new 13" Airs. That 12 hours of battery life is nice.
Plus perfect for internet and stuff. :p

My MBP is my main system, lately been playing nothing but games on it.

At work I have a 27" iMac that most of the time runs linux and occasionally windows.

OSX is really horrible.
