eBay purchase, should I worry?

I've never really had a problem before with purchasing through eBay however, I am worried about my recent purchase. I bought a Samsung GS4 from a seller who has around 7 feedback, I bidded in the last few minutes and won the item.

I asked when the seller would dispatch the phone (in the listing it did say pick-up available, I chose delivery instead), he/she said after payment, which I then paid promptly. The delivery method was next day with tracking.

I have contacted the seller numerous times, regarding the delivery, tracking number, etc... I have had no response.

I have even told the seller I would open a case through eBay, still no response. I'm down on £££ and a little annoyed that the seller would just ignore me. I purchased it on the 25th of this month.

Any other steps I should take?

3 days is too short to take action. He may of sent it and just not sent you any info because of being too busy.

Give the guy a bit of time to respond I would say at least 7 days to respond or get something in the post before jumping to conclusions

Give them a few days at least.. People do have Lives that sometimes take priority.

From what i read here Ebay/Paypal always side with the buyer so worst case, you can add your name to the list of people ripped off on ebay.

It's a Women, although I have a feeling it's a guy fronting as women. My gut feeling is that he/she will not send the phone. It should have been here today, I do understand people have lives and can't make posting a phone out there main priority. If that is the case, why not contact me to let me know?

It's only been 3 days, plus I take it the item probably ending on the evening of the 25th, so only 2 really.

What did the delivery estimate say in the listing? He might say it will be sent by next day but when you list an item you also give a dispatch time which is added on to the total delivery time.

I know when I sell an item it usually takes me a couple days to get it together and wrap the thing, print the packing slip and postage labels and get down to the post office.

You're obviously thinking the seller is dodgy because of his low feedback score. A much more likely scenario is he's perfectly genuine but just new to the site, and perhaps doesn't understand how to send/receive messages yet.

I've dealt with loads of grey ebayers with little to no feedback without issue, sometimes they just need the benefit of the doubt :p.

I've bought and sold loads of things on eBay and never really had a problem.
It does seem to depend on what you are buying and selling.

Next day delivery doesn't mean that it gets posted the same day. It means that when it's posted, it will be delivered the next day.

Personally I always ship by RMSD so I always quote next day delivery. However, I also specify three days handling time so if anyone is expecting it the day following the auction, they're going to be disappointed but the handling time is always mentioned within the auction.

Also the delivery times shown on the listing are automatically generated by eBay I believe based on the delivery method selected. It's not a date the seller has added and now ignored.

While I do always try and send things I sell asap, sometimes it does take me a few days because I work and have other commitments in the evenings which also prevents me from being on eBay updating the buyer of every single thing thats happening.

3 days is not enough time to start opening a case. I would give it at least a week before I start contacting them.
