they done this when it was first released.

it's a promo version of the game which shall receive zero updates.

therefore if you like the game your better off buying the full version, but a good way to try it out.

So for iOS this appears to be the regular full game reduced to free, on Android this appears to be a separate item to the original paid app, while it appears to be the full version it may well not get updates as the full version does.

Have grabbed the iPhone version, never really played this much at the time so looking forward to checking it out. Thanks OP.

The reason is that once you make an app free in the Play Store you cannot then start charging for it.

FWIW, I got it last time it was free and the lack of updates hasn't bothered me.
