Anyone had a near death experience?

I've been clinically dead a couple of times. Does that count?

No fancy lights or anything though, just a massive headache and a couple of strange marks on my chest....

I had one when I was 2. Obviously I have no recollection of it but me and my old lady were out for a stroll to the shops with me in a push chair and boom, hit by a bloody female driver (typical :p) i flew a few meters out of the push chair into a ditch by the side of the road and my heart stopped for a little bit of time. Probably explains why I am the way I am today :o Mother was in worse shape and very lucky to be alive to this day :)

Saying that, at the end of uni I had piles, seriously thought I had arse cancer and was going to die. The pain was unbelievable

Out on a shooting trip, my mates beretta 302 semi auto shotgun jammed on the 3rd round whilst pointed at my stomach. The first two rounds went off between my feet, second shot took a chunk out of one my welly boots.

One day perhaps he'll have a near-coherent experience.

That day is clearly not today, however.

I am sure i have crossed over to the other side , i remember questioning my self, whats this?, am i dead, send me back now, send me back ,soon as i said that i opened my eyes and ripped the cover off from over my face, while it happened i saw someone that i got the sense that had just died in a car crash or something but i could see them struggling to adapt to the afterlife , the feeling is like you are underwater but your personality is automatic, its fast.I remembered all this soon after i woke up gasping for air from under the covers, anyone else want to tell there story of something like this,i would love to listen..

Did you catch it on that thermal imaging camera of yours?
Were you able to catch you lack of spirit the dark black thing ascending from your lifelike corpse?

I have almost died twice.
I had a condition that caused me to have "thick blood" and for me to be susceptible to blood clots (unbeknown to me).
Woke up during the night with chest pains and sweating. Got up and then promptly passed out on route to the toilet.
Awoke sometime later with some pain - taken to hospital and they were quite sure one of my blood clots had passed through the heart.

Second time I managed to catch pneumonia and as I was sitting around doing nothing I got blood clots.
Went into hospital and on the second day in I woke up during the night coughing up blood.
At one stage it was felt I may not make it.

Anyway, all that is thankfully in the past. I've had proper diagnosis, I've had medication, I've had organ transplant and I'm pretty muck OK.
I don't remember any feeling of "near death" on either of those events. I just felt sleepy and there was a lot of "darkness" and dreamless sleep.

WTF?

What you've described is a dream or a nightmare... a near death experience is (what is says on the tin) an experience where you nearly die. Unless you have a serious medical condition or are very old then you're not likely to experience that from under the covers of your bed while sleeping.

Your friend was trying to kill you!?
