PC Build - £2500 Budget - Advice + Reasoning

If your going to use the built in audio that comes with using an HDMI cable you will no really need a sound card, if you have a home cinema setup on the other hand then you may want to invest in a decent sound card as it will improve the sound 10 fold before being pasted to the AMP.

The H100i is a very capable "all in one" closed loop water cooler, in the future you could have course upgrade it to a custom loop but custom loop do require maintenance where as the H100i doesn't.

You had better build-log this. If you dont... I will find you... And I will take photographs of your work myself...

Hmmm, So it's a little 'less' work and for the WC'ing noobie? I was only thinking of removing for the sake of ease as i could use a simple CPU Fan cooling system over WC'ing. IF i was to remove water cooling, as i also don't trust the kid's around it, what CPU cooler would you recommend? Since i am saving £90 on Windows, and maybe on the WCing, 'maybe' another GPU :P

Anyone who'd put an AMD cpu in a PC with a budget of over £600 needs their heads looking at. :p

I like AMD, Infact love AMD, So tbh a piledriver system wouldn't be all to bad IMO.

I have a feeling i will be grabbing this rig in here. With sound card as yes i do have a home cinema system that i will be plugging into.

Personally, for that amount of ca$h, I'd take motherboard wit SAS controller (maybe not like AsRock Z87 Extreme 11/ac, because it's simply too big and too much SAS ports) and connect 2-4 SAS drives in RAID which are quicker and have own bus unlike (S)ATA drives. UEFI is a norm.

WiFi is such unhealthy cr*p that people should be warned like buying cigarettes: pack of cigarettes won't kill you directly after smoking, but after many years - might do. Exactly the same you've got with waves penetrating your body which changes cell structure. Take some powerline adaptors which are better (ping & transfer) and healthy.

32 GB of RAM is not overkill: use 8 GBs and rest use as a RamDisk to store your swap file and TEMPs directories (unload SSD and make it lifespan longer).

3D in terms of graphic cards means you must have compatible monitor/TV, so make sure those ones you already have are compatible.

2-way SLI is much more better in terms of "efficiency/price" than 3-way SLI, so try to get two cards and not 3, unless you want to beat some benchmarks.

1200W PSU depends on - mostly - graphic card you take. In case of two 770s/780s 1000W would be enough. Get some modular with Platinum certificate - modular means braiding customizing for casing/motherboard colours.

If you don't like the idea of the watercooling option I would pick the Alpenföhn K2 Mount Doom, and just save the case as the Corsair SP fans will not be required and 3 way SLI doesn't really scale that well in games just benchmarks like 3D Mark 11 etc :)

Do not mind about WiFi, i smoke and have smoked for a long time, i'll die from cigarettes before WiFi abuse.

3D I have a compatible TV large enough for 'funs'.

1000w Modular should be suffice? That's good then tbh. Might upgrade to a 1200w Modular, remove Watercooling and get a nice CPU fan instead for now. Now nervous of watercooling perse, I am nervous of my PC being in the front room, And that's the 2 / 4 year olds hangout spots!

Also off topic, i also need a PC desk, But i have a few requests here.

PC Desk Must be able to house a 32 or 42 inch monitor. Have space underneath for PC, And have room for 10 consoles. This sounds like a large feat, But my TV stand i use at the minute does a good job of this, just need something taller so i don't have to use a lot of beanbags!
