new psu £40-50

Yeah looking for a new psu in the range of 40-50 quid.
Needs to power a gtx 460 and a 2500k cpu.

Just unsure on which one to get. Been looking at xfx 450w but I dont know if that will be enough. Any other recommendations?

Can I hijack and ask same question ?

Except I am powering a 7870 2GB ( requires 2 x PCI-E connectors ) and an i7 950x with a corsair H80 ( I think ).

My PSU wasca corsair 650w TX 80+ bronze but it died apropros of nothing and while I will be RMAing it I thought maybe about a spare. As don't have a telly the computer does me the missus and the nipper ! Have a crappy 500w no name brand PSU in an old comp with a knackered OS which I thought about cannabilising but worried will damage some of my components.
 
I wouldn't risk using a 'no-name' PSU. I doubt very much that it will provide anywhere near its 'rated' wattage of 500W stably. It is probably a 500W peak load PSU.

Definitely buy a new one. :)

What brand is it? Does it have anything written on it at all?

Although I can see the appeal due to the price being a lot lower than others, you need to remember that a badly built PSU is a ticking time bomb. If it goes, you risk looking all your components along with it.

Any why put £1000 on the line for the sake of £50?
 
Raidmax is the name of it. Cool guys. From advice I'd already seen in this forum over the years I wasn't going to risk my components for a crappy PSU. But do you think the xfx would be enough for my components in my prev post. Given I run the i7 at stock and the 7870 as well. Portal two at max is about as demanding as I get. 6 gb ram. 3x hdd and 2 x ssd

Raidmax aren't the worst of the bad PSU manufacturers, I would use something like that in a low-end desktop publishing/browsing PC, but wouldn't trust it in yours.

The 550W XFX will be fine for sure :)
