Only if you count entire settlements as a single thing. I'd say that a city is a collection of things rather than a thing.

There's quite a few man made things visible from space;

• Various land reclamation projects (Palm islands, Hong kong airport etc.)
• Lakes behind dams (Three gorges, Mosul lake) although I guess these are debateable.
• That Saudi guy who wrote is name ("HAMAD") a mile high in the desert
• You could argue the lack of Aral Sea
