Anyone know much about Cornwall?

Porthcurno is great, you can do the telegraph museum, go up to the Minack Theatre, and then laze on the beach.

Goonhilly has been sold by BT. New owners are still running it as a proper satellite uplink station etc, but IIRC they're not open to visitors currently.

Don't go to Flambards unless you have lived in Penzance your whole life and never really been to a proper theme park.

I feel shame that before I escaped Cornwall, I thought Flambards was good.

I used to love going there as a kid, it was one of the few places that had bumper boats \o/

I used to love going there as a kid. Would pretty much spend the entire time in the ball pool. It was pretty low tech as a theme park but had a certain charm to it

We are based in st agnes most of the summer and we love it but we tend to take the dogs to crantoc beach holywell bay and polly joke just spending long days walking and surfing.
We also park up at helford passage (£1 a day)and walk on cliff top to falmouth ,its an amazing walk.
Cycling we start at portreath where theres a mining heratege trail path and a path to devoran . You can also get across across on king harry ferry to st mawes side near there
Tbh theres loads of amazing places here

i live in cornwall, near falmouth, its simply stunning, do what the locals do and avoid newquay like the plague, its an offensive stag-do ridden poo hole :p If it's surfing you are after go to peranporth; by far the wise option :)

Try to stay near the coast so you get lovely sea views & air, if you have lots of cash rock, padstow etc.. if you don't then there are some lovely hidden gems, st agnes on the north coast, the roseland on the south.

The eden project is actually pretty cool so add that to your list of things to do, st michaels mount is pretty if you want somewhere with a nice backdrop. But all in all you cant go far wrong.

just avoid newquay and everything will be fine
