Was taking his advice. But in hindsight it was a silly thing to do. Apologies LAD if you want it removed I will.
I split with my other half of 4 years only 5 weeks ago, even though I still love her. It was something I just had to do as I can't see our futures lining up together. I know how you are feeling dude. All I can say is just keep busy, and keep friends and family close, and if you feel like talking about it, then TALK to someone. It always helps to get a friends perspective.
Be strong and life will go on.

Girls are *****! Buy yourself a top dollar gaming rig and use that to keep your self occupied during the week after work and at the weekend go out and get **** faced and smash any fat birds that you can find wandering around Yates or Weatherspoons. This is the best advice I can give.
I met my girlfriend when she was 17 and we are together 6 years later, living together, engaged to be engaged, etc.
But seriously, forget about her. Do not give her any attention and move on, you've told her you care about her now show you are ready to move on.
Maybe she doesn't like me on this forum ;D She did used to call this "virgin forum" sorry if that makes anyone rage i used to tell her she was stupid as its not a geek forum but shes a woman what does she know apart from the kitchen.. ;D

I was until september last year. stuff went down hill abit so i guess since then not truly happy
Put short i left her for some time apart was going to pretty much drop the whole thing as i had separated myself from the relationship really but some stuff happened in both of our lives and we ended up back together. I think it was pretty much doomed from that point. We was together for support through a rough patch and that may of been it
This is a geek forum. Whether or not the term geek is universally considered an insult is up for debate as at your age, maybe it is, longer term, not so much.

No matter which way you spin it, it's a computer enthusiast forum. The few people posting here that aren't actually into PCs are the weirdest of the bunch.
P.S. Most of my early posts were in the programming section, so I don't even care.

was in the same situation as the OP 6 months ago when i split from my girlfriend of 4 years, and im currently trying to find someone as im fed of being on my own.
all i can suggest is, keep yourself occupied, see friends, play video games etc...
just spend some time on yourself, discover what you want from life, what sort of person you would like to be with.
and always remember, tomorrow is a brand new day and things always get easier
