Hi all.
Great forum you have going here, and its given me the confidence to try and build my own gaming pc. Could you help me with my budget of £1300. I would like a roomy case with dust filters and good for future upgrades and longer graphics cards, and is easy to build in for first timer. and a power supply that won't hold me back. 8 gb ram. I will proberly only ever use 1 gpu, as iracing is not setup for sli/ crossfire. . I plan on going with 3 screens, The monitors are a separate budget and will prob get 3 x dell 2412. I also need to include windows7 with the build and a ssd. If possible I would also like to overclock the CPU.

Thanks in advance for any help;)

Thanks for those options. I see overclockers are doing free builds this week, I was thinking of going with this. Could someone recommend a setup using that configurator. With an overclocked 3570k and a 7970 gpu. I don't think the corsair 500r case is an option tho. But would still like case with good dust filters. Maybe under budget of £1300.

Is that just for parts of would they build that for me?

That is just for the components.

But ocuk will build it for you for an extra fee...

You can give them a call, refer to this thread and spec you want and they will see what they can do for you.

Normally its about £100-£200 for them to build it for you.

Did you miss this bit in post #4. :) It expires on Friday.

So I think they only build for free , from there new range configurator. Which gives less choice on parts. I was hoping to squeeze a 7970 in for that bit extra with running 3 monitors.
What about this spec?? From the free build configurator

OcUK Pro Gamer X55i Intel Z77 Full-Tower - Gaming PC Configurator £1265.88

Run it through the configurator and get it as close as you can, then give them a ring and ask for a couple of changes. I'd put money on them being okay with it - the manpower time and markup on parts will be the same regardless, it's no skin off their nose.

Although I am assuming here - it may be that the entire point of the configurator is to simplify the process for them and avoid the extra phone calls, swapping of parts etc. If so, however, they need to include more of their range in the options.

Build it yourself bud. There are plenty of video tuts on youtube and you can pop back here for advice. I've lost count of how many peeps we've helped build a rig to their own liking ;)

From what I understand iracing doesn't make use of an i7. You think you'll only use a single GPU yet you are looking at mobos that can run dual GPUs and higher rated PSUs which is adding to the cost.

Yes I'm overbudget but you'll notice there is a serious gaming wheel added in for the sim ;) The manual gear changer is extra I'm afraid :(

RAM is rapid, PSU has enough juice for a single GPU setup and it's semi-modular to help cable management. Case has a nice side window to show off the internals and it can mount the H100 CLC. I realise I've left out an OS but there is a trial of Windows 8.1 you can use for free to see if you like it. If it's not your cup of tea you can buy Windows 7 later on. I look forward to seeing what you settle on in the end :)
