whats the petition about then I cant be bothered to find a source as there is probably not a 100% indisputable one from the CEO on a written contract co signed by jesus to satisfy you.
I'll bump this around that time and they have announced pc version is delayed then.

All they've done is dodged the question. A petition doesn't mean anything but people trying to make sure a port is made.

'Rockstar have stated'. They haven't, there is nothing new saying whether it is coming to PC or not, the information is pretty much the same now as it was 3 months ago. You fabricated your title my man.

I am not trolling how is any of this threads content a troll ? I want good games on pc I don't want bf4 and a bunch of indie games I want the top titles coming to pc so when one big game does it the others might follow and delay the pc release or bin it completely as we have seen for this last generation.
Is it so hard to believe ? red dead redemption (no pc version) Gta IV heavily delayed pc version

Maybe, but Watchdogs at least, is safe. That's the only properly good game I've seen coming for release in a few years. Rockstar can keep their trash, doesn't mean that the rest will follow suit. Rockstar have always been one of the worst PC developers, studios like Ubi, Squeenix and EA have always supported the platform and they are some of the best.
I haven't seen many companies use piracy as a reason for not releasing a PC game for a while. It was always a bit of a poor excuse to be honest, either sales are good enough to justify a release or they aren't - Piracy is a a separate issue that exists on all platforms.
With the platforms getting closer to PCs in terms of hardware architecture we should see more ports this generation than ever before. Having said that i would expect a lot of exclusives for about a year after the consoles are released to entice people away from other platforms and onto consoles.

only game ive genuinely considered buying a console for is Last of Us, the longer im a PC owner the more i realise that to have the best of both worlds a console DOES have a place in my gaming home 
PS4 will prob be my first console purchase since i had a dreamcast (shudder), that way im not particularly worried about what format i play my games on, the pc will always have its place but teh console will do for kickin back infront of the tv when im not hunched over slaying dirty Alliance/Horde scum

because if someone comes in and says if you release the pc version at the same time you will lose x amount of $ through piracy and lost sales they can change their minds at any moment
No they haven't. They've said they're focusing solely on the 360 and PS3 versions at the moment, which if I'm not mistaken, is much the same as what they said prior to GTA4.
There's reading between the lines, and there's making stuff up for the sake of a sensationalist thread aimed at provoking a response. No surprised you opted for the latter.
That's silly dude. Individual sales on PC bring in far more for a company than a single console sale. You need to sell 2 or more console copies per single PC (estimate, not solid) copy to make the same amount of profit. They'll lose money NOT bringing it out on PC at the same time, as multiplatform users will get their copy on a console which is less money for them.
