Hi All

I am just looking into buying a new gaming pc with a great monitor to go with it :-)

I would like 16gb ram and would prefer the best cpu i can get for that so maybe a i7 and a really good GFX card TBH i play WOW a lot and a few others i know great GFX card not need for it but if i want to run it on ultra lol

I have been out of the pc building for a while now still running a p4 quad 6600

Ok so i don't mind putting it together if it will work out a lot cheaper but otherwise a pre built one will work for me as well

Now to the budget i was thinking £1500 as a marker :p

Anyway thanks in advance Guys :D

Well sometimes i have to have a few games running at once :-) but if you guys think its too much then i will agree but i thought ram was cheap atm so better to go for more :-)

No advice on this from the PRO's or is the budget not enough?

If you guys think cpu is too high then please say so :-)

Thanks for your feedback on this guys

Forgot to say want a 27in monitor min really as i have a 26 atm :-)

Just stick with a decent 24". I think 24" is the right size for having on your desk. If I had anything bigger I would have to sit further back from my desk, then I would`nt be able to reach my keyboard.

@OP You could either stick with you current monitor which sounds usable or you could get a new 27" with 120/144hz or a 1200/1440p res.

Id go for the one I speccef above..

Hi Techz
Gamer PC requires high RAM but 16 GB is quite high number. But not to worry. You can try Alienware gamer PC of Dell. You have a list of requirement that's understandable in case of gamer PC.You can configure your requirement according to your wish incase of Dell Alienware and this PC is quite popular in this gaming section. The cost of this PC is around $1074 ie 695 pounds. Hope this information will be valuable to you.

Thanks for all your replies i have looked on Dell at the Alienware and im sure it would be cheaper option for me to build it myself :-/

You're going to hate me for saying this and only this, but you're silly for buying an i7. Get an i5 and use the spare cash to treat yourself to something or spend it on a bigger SSD/HDD.

That was my view also. Was wondering when someone would point this out :)
