Anyone have any knowledge of the Mini Warranty? Is it the same as the BMW one ? Looking at ~£65 a month on a R52 Cooper S Convertible.

Thanks for any input chaps :)

I guess it's if you feel the car will cost you more than £780 in repairs in the year that would normally be covered under the warranty.

I don't think it's massively cheap when you consider a warranty for my Porsche Boxster S is only around £100 more for the year.

Please, lets compare apples and pears some more

The MINI warranty is considerably cheaper than the Porsche warranty unless the car is high mileage. He hasn't told us the mileage of his car nor the level of cover he has obtained a quote for, so its price cannot really be compared in terms of 'value' to your Porsche.

MINI warranty is very good value if the car has under 60k miles. It is less so if its over 60k miles which the one in the OP presumably is.

Car has 15k miles , the quote was for comprehensive cover with no breakdown cover.
@ Atpbx is yours a convertible ? cos that makes my quote look pricey!

Thats enormously expensive for just 15k miles - usually the quote is the same irrespective of bodytype or engine.

How old is the car?

2006 Model.

Just got a quote again and its saying £55 a month with a £100 excess, no breakdown cover.

I'll give them a call when I get the car next week
