GT Academy 2013 official thread!!!!

I'm disappointed, If GT6 is anything like that, it'll be the first GT I will not buy...

The handling feels better but that's it, I did notice that one of the AI drivers turned away from me to avoid a collision which was nice, but bar that one moment, what a pile of dung..

I've already played this game for 1000's of hours, the AI don't race each other just go round the track in a single file sticking to that line, I long to come round the corner to be faced with 2 AI driver side by side, just doesn't happen.

If you do have a collision its like two massive Tupperware containers slamming into each other

GT has lost it, shocking.

Ive not played GT5 for 1000000s hrs but ive seen and have seen the AI race each me and the other AI plenty of times. Like this
shows the AI fighting the player for the lead over taking on the outside etc.

Drivers will sit on the race line it is a race after all. rest was nonsense

The racing in that video looks awesome, I've never seen that in GT maybe I'm missing something but in my experience the AI starts the race gets into a single file and then stay there for the 3 or 5 laps or whatever, that's just what I've seen.

Of course they all go to the racing line but then they just sit there. Its like the one in 3rd goes to itself "3rd place, I'm happy enough this will do me"

Silly question did you play since the 2.0 update and on the harder levels (as such)?
 
The game looks amazing, and the sound is quite good appart from the tire squeal.

Does anyone else think it still feels slow like GT5 did, even when hitting 100 it feels no faster than 30.
 
The AI has always been a disappointment in GT games. The AI only seems to be a challenge on the straights.... The moment the AI reaches a corner it goes into granny mode.
 
the first 2 intro races give you credits - anyone know why, as you can build them up but there are no cars to buy etc. I wonder if they will be credits that when you get GT6 some might transfer over.
 
Just done a few laps managed to get a 2.21.604 which puts me 240th in our region, so not too bad. If you are wanting to progress with this, a wheel is a must.

Seems that the physics have came on somewhat since GT5 at least. Graphics are ok but the framerate is poor, so obviously some optimisation is still required on PD's part.
 
ive not noticed any issues with frame rate yet, im not the best lol, ive unlocked he bonus stages so ive been bombing around the track in the GTR
 
Gave it a go, glad you guys are enjoying it but i think this has given me enough to say im not keen on realistic racers any more, probably as i on,y have a pad probably better with a decent wheel etc
