This is coldest summer I can actually remember since I've been born, what hell is going on?

I read this a while back,

http://iceagenow.info/2013/05/summer-coldest-1816-europe/

"According to predictions of the French Canal Meteo, there is a 70% chance of a complete absence of summer in Western Europe this year, making it one of the coldest and wettest summers since 1816 – almost 200 years."

I'm not sure how applicable that quote still is but down here in Newquay summer has noway begun yet and we're in July now, should boiling down here and it's 15c right now, you actually need a jacket outside, absolutely depressing :(

Why is it so cold this year?

18odd degres in the north of Scotland today, meant to be in the 20s this weekend. Can't grumble too much.

You havent been here long have you? ( look at weather averages)

Here's hoping we don't.

Mid 20s with clear skies would be nice, as would a proper winter with proper snow and cold. It's the middle wet mild bit I hate (which is what we have all year round more or less), also hate the stupid hot, although humidity plays a huge roll in that.

Keep going to hot countries for hollidays, really need to go to snow covered lands, but a lack of interest by mates and Scandinavian countries are expensive.

Must admit it was pretty warm over here last week on Thurs & Friday,Seems to have gone downhill since then though.

Although i prefer it dull and the occasional drizzle in the summer...keeps the pollen down as i suffer with hayfeaver even though im on one of the highest dozes of Antihistamine you can get. :/

June has been almost average temperature wise for CET and average sun, below average rain. Long range ensembles for July point to above average. Don't see it being a particularly bad summer for england.
