I can click order whenever, I want to make sure I am making the right decision! Can you guys give me any closure?

The single Corsair fan is to go with the H80i in a pull configuration at the back of the C70. And obviously the Spectre Pros will all be case fans. Should I stretch my budget and get a fan controller?

Looking to Xfire in the future - hence the Mobo + PSU

Thanks!

Thanks bud! :D

If you feel a fan controller is needed, the BitFenix Recon would be a good choice.

Hell yeah..

Didn't realise there were that many fans.

Why just have the H80 on pull? Why not push/pull? If its a low noise fan you won't notice it, unless its just aesthetic, though how pretty is a radiator grill seriously...

Rant over.. :)

You'd want the dual pack for the SP120s, I'd rather have the H100 in the ceiling and upgrade it's fans (you can't push/pull it in that case). There is a trial of windows 8.1 you can use for free, that would free up cash now if you want extras. The Bitfenix Hydra Pro fan controller could toggle the LEDs on their Spectre range of fans if you insist on buying loads of those.

Can't fault the build Hono, that's a superb spec. Can't help but think an AMD card with the free games would be a good investment also!

Thanks.

The H100 is on pre-order though. I stuck with the case he picked but I'd probably change it to the Bitfenix Ronin (also on preorder) myself as it's cheaper, can also take the H100 and the window is much better......

Yeah! One thing I have noticed with my 600T is the side window is not clear, but slightly blurred and faffing around with t-cut to clean it up it not ideal.

I HATE side windows that have the fan vents, it ruins the look TBH. The Ronin is cheaper which in turn actually pays for that H100 ;) Bitfenix have obviously heard what people don't like about the Shinobi and set it right with the Ronin :)

The H80 has some fan control anyway - I'd hook up the two fans on the cooler (push/pull) and two of the intake fans to the H80 (specifically your two "main" intakes, usually on the front), giving you airflow that is responsive to your temps and maintains positive pressure (two intakes vs one two-fan, single radiator exhaust).

The others I'd just balance for intake and exhaust, then leave them on low to augment your cooling without much extra noise.

Wow thanks so much all of you guys! I have decided to basically go with Snips' build and just downgraded the RAM slightly. I also really like Honosuseri's build but I feel that the AMD bundle is far too much to look past, and I'm hoping that when the 9*** series from AMD comes out the price of the 7970 will fall so I can go Xfire!

I am quite handy with tools so have already ordered some smoked acrylic to replace the window in the C70 which I will be able to do once I have the case, as I also hate the idea of that side window! Just for interest's sake, would you be able to remove the window and turn it around so the fan mounts were closer to the front of the case and your view of the Mobo wouldn't be obstructed?

Also, with the h80i would I be able to do push/pull in the back of the case or in fact anywhere in the case? Should I preorder the h100 refurb model and just use the stock intel cooler until it arrives?

Thanks!

The fast RAM makes the system more efficient and responsive, I wouldn't recommend anything below 1866.

The next AMD cards are the 8xxx series and BF4 has rumoured to be bundled. Regarding price drop, it's unlikely the prices will be reduced, but not impossible, look at Ivybridge & Haswell as an example, the prices are loosely the same.

The window on my 600T can be changed and would assume the C70 would be the same, but cannot guarantee. Check the Corsair website for product images, you may be able to tell that way.

I think you can do push/pull on the H80, but would be tempted to wait for the H100 as these prices may not come round again.

I believe the new AMD series is the 9*** series because the 8*** series is strictly OEM versions, just a technicality I guess. OK I will look at the 1866MHz RAM! I really like the look of both the H80i and the H100 but as I will be looking to outrageously overclock I would prefer the one with the greater warranty currently

Thanks

Snips did the spec before the prices changed. The M4 he used is now more expensive than the Plextor I used ;) Get the RAM I used as it's now on offer for £64, it's shorter than the Teamgroup kit so is a better option to be fair as it won't restrict the use of air coolers.

Yes you could get the side window off the C70 but it's just aggro in my eyes. The H80 comes with dual fans so is a push/pull setup. To be honest the H100 is a better option as it cools better having the larger rad. If you don't want to wait on the H100 I'd probably just go with the K2 Mount Doom aircooler to be honest.

If you want the AMD GPU fair enough. I'd probably just go with the 7950 myself and OC it, you'd still get the games.....

Just over the budget but you have Xfire as you wanted but from the get go. You'd double up on the game codes so could sell off one lot to recoup some cash to get back on budget. I'd suggest you do a build log here on the forum. This will up your post count, once you hit 100 posts you will qualify for free P&P hopefully (UK mainland). Then you can add little bits and pieces (ie fans etc) as you see fit and not worry about paying the postage ;)

WOW! :eek::eek:

Dude, that is a superb spec and double game codes would give you a massive overhead cost to recuperate.

Nicely done and yes, about 30 mins after the spec, the damn prices changed.

It's an option lol The MSI GPU also has a longer warranty which is a nice bonus :)

As I said he could use the Windows 8 trial free for 3 months, buying an OS will be cheaper than another GPU. That gives him £80 now to up the SSD capacity and the storage HDD or use a different case. It's his build I'll let him tweak it as he sees fit :)

WOW being able to buy dual GPUs off the bat seems SO DAMN GOOD. I'll have to look at another case though as I'm really not a great fan of the Bitfenix one. I have decided against my better judgement to agree with EVERYONE on this post and say that the Dominator Platinums are perhaps the worst choice of RAM I could make, and so have chosen the one in honsuseri's spec. I'll give it another look as I don't really want to go over £1300 as my initial budget was £1000! Would the original Mobo I specced be able to handle Xfire and SLI as well as the one honosuseri specced?

Thanks!
