For those that say BBC is unbiased

"However, overall the breadth of opinion reflected by the BBC on this subject is broad and impressive, and no persuasive evidence was found that significant areas of opinion are not given due weight today."

So, if there was a problem....there isn't one any more....so I'm struggling to see why you say that the article 'justifies the need to scrap the TV license'?

Oh, sorry, I'm doing it wrong aren't I? NURR SHUT DOWN THE BBC AND DOWN WITH EVERYONE WHO OCCASIONALLY EXPRESSES A LIBERAL THOUGHT NURR

every news source is biased these days.

they don't give us facts and let us make up our own minds they give us a ready formed opinion to suit whichever agenda they like.

The BBC & news should represent facts, not public opinion.

The public are idiots (I put forward the OP as evidence to this assertion).

The BBC was slow to reflect the weight of concern in the wider community about issues arising from immigration. It remains the case that the agenda of debate is probably too driven by the views of politicians.
nor hold political views or cater for them.

I always thought it isn't the BBC that is unbiased they just don't reign in their reporters or at least the editors don't do a good enough job. The BBC was one of the main marketing machines for things like Harry Potter and Apple for example.

nor hold political views or cater for them.
Both the left & right complain about political bias in the BBC, in my view this means they are doing a comparatively reasonable job.

All media is biased, it's just a matter of degree.

Who'd have thought that news outlets (even those that magically pay for an expensive 24 hour news service with a magical money tree like the BBC) pander to commercial interests to keep the lights on. Or that this pandering to ensure sufficient funding often results in bias or political skew being applied to the stories they report.

Mind=blown.

Jesus ****ing christ, really??
