Apparently everyone was. Ipswich, QPR, you guys, etc. When everyone delved deeper it became apparent that he was very one dimensional and too predictable. When all the scouts continued coming after his drop in form it turned out they were watching Harlee Dean and Simon Moore.

I do think Forrester could have done better than Doncaster Rovers though. I imagine they'll struggle in The Championship and will revert to their long ball game that featured heavily in their final two seasons in that league - not ideal for a ball-playing winger. He has small issues with fitness and injuries though, so it'll be interesting to see how he does. Wish him all the best though.
 
Next season is going to be one of the most intense. You’ve got City, Chelsea and United, then you've got Spurs which seem to be on a spending spree, Liverpool will try and improve... the Two French billionaire clubs Monaco and PSG, Barcelona with Naymar and of course Bayern who are trying to get stronger.

I reckon that United, City, Chelsea and either Arsenal / Tottenham will be up there at the end of the year. Just depends who each team buys before the end of the window. Tottenham already looking good as long as they keep Bale. Arsenal could have a squad to compete if Wenger stops negotiating with pocket change.
 
Vito Mannone has joined Sunderland for an undisclosed fee. Could be a decent keeper given an extended run as 1st choice.

Some of that £6m is performance-related, apparently.

Pleased with this Swans capture - we needed more physicality in the centre of the park, we've been desperate for someone who can shoot from outside the box since Gylfi left, and he's HG which is handy for our Europa campaign.

There's still a lot to come from the lad; it's easy to forget that he's only 21. Plus with Canas joining, the Hair Average remains the same :D

And hey, it's not like we had to give all our Joe Allen money back :p
 
This is what always happens with Arsenal. we lose good players to other teams becuase we dont pay the extra 2-3 million!

Just pay the extra cash to get the player.... no wonder all the good players eventually leave. Scrouge Wenger. :mad:
 
Always happens, Wenger will wait till the last minute of the transfer window to save a few quid although most likely someone else will step in before then.

Yes, all the first choice players get bought up and we end up buying the left over crap.

I bet you we sign 0 A grade payers this summer. Arsenal will bid for the tyop plyers just to show that we are trying to sign them, but we actually probably know we stand no chance of getting them.

Slightly surprising that he chose Swansea over Palace (assuming they too had a fee agreed) - he done well playing for Holloway at Blackpool and he's very much a Londoner. Hopefully we've got some sort of sell-on (or even buyback clause) in his deal because I wouldn't rule out him becoming a very handy player.
