It seems to me that this confirms that this demonstrates conclusively that this man and his associates is manifestly unsuited to have any influence whatsoever over media in the UK. His private (genuine) utterances are entirely at odds with his public statements.

BSkyB should be stripped of its broadcast license and the various News Corp publications (The Times & The Sun) should be closed down.

Well duh he's Australian, of course he support convicted criminals that's the entire population of his homeland.

Not much point in having a one man "I hate Murdoch" protest.

Are you saying one man can't make a difference?

Granted it would mean he'd have to take his rants out of his bedroom and onto the street.........it could happen :p

Organise a protest you say . . . ? Good scheme, what would you suggest?

I posted this in the hopes that even one person here would stop buying The Sun or The Times, it is perhaps the best I can do. When he has gone to his grave, Murdoch will be remembered for the enormous damage he has done to the concept of genuine, worthwhile investigative journalism and press freedom in this country and doubtless elsewhere as well.

On the other hand, I guess that like some of you I could always ignore Murdoch's encouragement of people to keep taking the Soma while he gets on with organising their minds and lives.

If you don't care, just press on with telling us about what exciting new goodies you have bought this month and how fascinating your cat's latest charming exploit is ;)
