The Police have once again found to have murdered someone in cold blood.

Yes the person was a career criminal, a gangster if you will, but the guns were in the boot. 3 firearms, in a shoebox, hidden out of sight.

They did a reconstruction (during which photographs taken of the view the officer in question had, eyewitness accounts, and audio from another officer's camera which caught the shots) which showed that the officer who fired the shots could not have rationally seen the man going for a weapon, and that the officer's account can't be relied upon. It even says that, had the officer (E7 in the report) had a clear view, he would have had no reason to believe the man was reaching for a weapon. The whole operation was a cluster-mess right from the start, and continued to be so after the event. The guy's body was left on the roadside for 16 hours afterwards, which boggles my mind.

How ever, this has taken 8 years to come to light. The original investigation report, including the IPCC's look in to how Police handled it claimed that it was almost flawless, this independent inquiry proves otherwise, and that officer E7 who killed the suspect had absolutely no reason to do so and could not justify it, and then lied repeatedly to try and justify it.

The Police in this country have no accountability, be afraid of them, you or a loved one could be next.

Was he suspected of being armed at the time? - jumpy officer made a mistake & panicked - or intentional killing sounds to be the main question.

I'll have to read up more on the case.

In seriousness, this will just be a rather pointless discussion, that has all the justification for the officers in question anyway.

Previous situations had some more clout, this does not.

I don't understand why people rely on the IPCC, the IPCC are useless, rubbish, a waste. They are bias, and also the police have measures in place so that if something does go wrong, they can back themselves up however the general innocent public can not.

I myself am not fond of some police officers, however the armed units are heavily trained and I doubt that the officer killed him intentionally, the officer would have shot at him to stop him reaching for whatever he may have been reaching for, the officer felt threatened for his life and made a call, and officer that makes a call to shoot at someone doesn't make it lightly.

On one hand I find it incredibly disturbing that this could happen, on the other a **** with three illegally owned hand guns is dead, c'est la vie.

I disagree.

I concur.

If we are under the brutal jackboot of a vicious police state, how come neither I nor anyone close to me has been subject to police brutality let alone assault or murder? Oh yeah, we don't cruise around committing violent crimes armed to the teeth

The mother should get an apology but not a penny in compensation

"Lawyers for Ms Alexander claimed he was the victim of "naked, violent aggression" and was unlawfully killed."

Like the potential victims of her son? What a shame

A known hardened criminal was driving around London in a car with guns inside, and the police took him out. Society is better off without him and others like him. I tip my hat to the police.

Live by the gun; die by the gun.

Completely agree. No sympathy from me at all. Good riddance.

No offence hd but please shut up.

Also this, minus the offence part.
