Hi guys,is it worth doing the above given that I can sell my current HD7950 for £30ish more than what I would pay for the GTX660ti?
I just want to try out Nvidia as I have always had a thing for their name(i know its stupid but its hard to explain :p)

Also thinking of going 1440p/WC later this year depending on funds just in case that changes your opinions.

Thanks

It's a really bad idea on pretty much all fronts. If you are going to 1440p it would be an even bigger mistake as the 7950 would be even faster comparing.

The only Nvidia card that is worth upgrading to is the 680/770 (although overclocking the 7950 will probably match these), 780 or Titan.

But... in all honestly... wait for the next generation... the 7950 is a pretty hard card to upgrade from...

The price jumo from a HD7950 to a GTX780/Titan is so huge!
Whereas a jum pto a GTx680 is around £50.

Overclock and make the most of the 7950. If you do that, then as others have said, the 660Ti is a real downgrade.

I currently have my card sitting at 1100/1400 and thats the best I can do with only 1.13v to play with :(

1.13v?? Didn't know the XFX cards were voltage locked, is it hard or soft? Going water wont be the same without 1.3v going through them :D

Yeah, hard locked i think as MSI AB dosnt do anything.
Exactly my thoughts whether there's any point WC them with so little volts, another reason why Id want to change, even to another HD7950 but with unlocked voltage :o

Go for the swapped 7950 with voltage, shouldn't cost you that much, even less if you were to find something on the MM :D

660Ti also has no voltage play and would perform worse @stock compared to your 7950, let alone overclocked and @1440.

I have bookmarked that page/thread, thanks :)
I can do 1120/1420 for benchmarks/valley/heaven/etc but gaming, i just use 1100/1400.
