Heard reports that the XSPC 750 V4 is noisy. Is it?

As title really. I thought the 750 would be perfect for my CPU only loop (later to be expanded to CPU + single GPU) with a 280MM radiator, but I have heard reports that it is 'unbearably noisy' and that XSPC claim that is normal.

Is that true or total BS? Are the noisy ones just faulty? What's the deal?

Thanks guys :)

It depends on the case, tends to be noisy in a haf x from what I understand. Which means its most likely down to the case not the pump.

Ah ok cheers :)

I suppose that's one disadvantage, that you can't really sit it on any foam to reduce vibrations.

My current case is a Lancool PC-K62 Dragon Lord if that's of any use. Not sure if it will still be that when I come to build though.

I had one in my FTO1 but mounted on a home made foam pad = quiet, you can all so get a noisy pump due to air being trapped in the pump..

I had one, I found it a bit noisy mainly resonating through the case. Sounded a bit like a bee.

Looks as though I've got the same :(

Noisier than Air cooling at the moment - a lot cooler - but noisier.

I just hope it improves - otherwise, a waste (in excess) of £300- which would have been better spent on a new gpu.

We shall see- only been in a day so fingers crossed :)

Got the V4 that comes with the Raystorm kit and it's pretty quiet.
The only way for me to hear the pump chugging along is to put my ear through the faceplate.

So have I - bag of nails at the moment :(

Anyone any idea how to cure it ? It was fine when bleeding , apart from when a bit of air got trapped which cleared itself ; appeared to start after being lifted up and down a few times. Only sign of air is the usual small bubbles which , if not all , very nearly all, are seen in the return to the res/pump.

Got one and it's absolutely fine, I have to actually touch it to make sure it's running. Newly installed this weekend.

My one is about 1.5 years old now, for the first year it was very quiet but then all of a sudden it started sounding like someone had dropped a rusty nail into a washing machine. I have to say mine is the old version though, I had hoped the V4 was better but so far it seems like a mixed bag.

I have since emptied out my system in the hope that something got trapped in there, no rusty nails came out & it still sounds the same.

I'll be installing my D5 as soon as I order some new fittings, I forgot that having a pump/res will take up 2 less than having them separate........I never claimed to be bright.

I bought one as part of a kit and it was great after I first installed it and settled down nicely after a day or two. Sadly after four months its making a rattling/buzzing noise that rises and falls. Still keeping the CPU cool but Im going to have to replace it. Going to try a separate pump and not use a drive bay resevoir. One to avoid from my point of view.

I've just installed one, its kinda noisey at the moment, but im absolutely certain its bubbles in the loop. When I tilt my case to the right(motherboard tray side) and bubbles stop flowing through it, i cant hear a thing other than my fans.

On the topic, any tips for getting bubbles out of my loop?

Much improved :D

Silent - not to me :(

But definately acceptable :)

With mine I can only assume that it was air bubbles - switching on and off + a few times moving around (fitting new fans and fan controller) appear to have done the trick AND you never know that with the passage of a little more time it may improve again.:)
