Supposedly Arsenal did bid for Suarez last week:

Can't help but think that, if true, this isn't a straight forward bid. Arsenal wouldn't pay the sort of fee we'd want and I doubt Suarez would even consider joining them. The article mentions the possibility of this bid being an attempt by Arsenal to hurry Real up over Higuain which may be true, however I wouldn't be surprised if Real are using Arsenal to sound us out to see what sort of fee we'd demand.
