using a xspc raystorm kit for a cpu loop, the idle temps Im getting are they normal?

my intel 2600k is oc'd at 4.5GHz

room is very warm, dont have a temp reader but Im guessing Its about 20+c

Yes the temps are good. I have a 200 quid watercooling loop just for my 2600K and its not overclocked at all yet and I`m getting low 30`s on coretemp. It would make sense that your one would be hotter than mine because its overclocked. I am 99% sure when I overclock mine to 4.5Ghz I will get almost the same temps as you. I am holding off overclocking untill summer is over because the temps will be very low then when its 2 degrees in my room

XSPC RayStorm D5 RX240 is the kit I have, yeh the heat doesn't help much when the sun sets on my bedroom window!

looks ok i guess considering the ambient temp. i'm suffering here too if i launch a game, i get about 50c coming off my rads and the room soon becomes an oven even with all the windows open :)
with this heat i'd say high 20's to 30's is to be expected. You have a core at 40+ though so i guess you could put this down to the room temp, air flow/restrictive loop and the fact its overclocked. If you're confident you installed it ok (apropriate use of thermal compound etc) then i wouldn't worry too much. so long as it doesn't go uncomfortably high on full load.

Getting near at idle 40c on a i7 haswell (minor oc to 4.0ghz), loop is around 32c. Going to buy a thermometer to check out the ambient...

My i5-3570k is now sitting at around 42 degrees, back in winter it was about 29 degrees - perfectly normal for the temps to raise up - if you can get a stable overclock during the heights of summer, then you'll be good for the rest of the year :)

Im having trouble getting the heat out my 3770k tempted to try delidding. folding on both cpu and gpus = 80c+ on core1 yet the rads are under 40c. need to get that heat out somehow but then only a month ago it was hovering around 10c less so wonder if its worth the risk

My 2500K at 4.7 (1.38v, LLC high, 1.36v loaded) is hovering between 65 and 70 with my H100 while folding (100% loading, almost as intensive as Prime95 - if not more so)

Cooling config is rubbish, got 2 fans pulling air out through the rad, and the temps inside the case aren't exactly cool because my GPU is also folding, and exhausts it heat into the case.

My loop aint been too badly hit by the heat, it might be cause i just cleaned it all out though, proberbly dropped temps a bit.

Getting 30 / 31 idle on cpu/gpu and 60 / 40 under load atm. I wish i was coping with the heat as well as my pc is :)

I don't know what mine was running at before, but I've just replaced the mobo and dropped in an i3570k. It's only running at stock and with an ambient room temp of 27 deg it's sitting at around 33-36 deg (core 2 is always hotter). I haven't messed around with it much yet though, temps were around 60 deg I think with a short prime95 run.

GPU 660 & CPU on watercooling loop, Laing DDC18W, 360mm x 60mm Radiator No overclocked, stock clock for I7 3770K running idle is 45-50oC I dare run a stress.
I am sat in the attic so hottest place in the house.

I'm getting pretty much the same temps here with my 2700k and Raystorm.

I have two 480's in the loop too but I can't take the heat as it is, if I fire any games up I think I'll probably die.

Wow today is hot

fired up a game of serious sam 3 for half an hour rads got to mid 40s in minutes gpus maxed 70 and 60c and cores ran up to 76-77-76-71 and thats with a 60mm 420 and 280 with 7 fans flat out system really struggling today
