Is this card ok for gaming at 2560x1440

Gainward GeForce GTX 770 Phantom 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

What other would you guys recommend? Budget around £400

For £400 some folk will probably advise you to go for a Radeon 7970 of some sort. Personally, I'd go with the GTX 770 on that budget (unless you can stretch to a GTX 780) - it'll do absolutely fine at that resolution in all but the most demanding titles, and even then all you'd need do is knock down the AA a bit most likely. The 770 is a great card, particularly the new 4GB versions.

Many people on this forum would favour the 7970 at that resolution because of the greater bus width and higher memory capacity.

You only need x2 AA at the most for 1400p anyways. It makes me laugh to see one of the tech sites saying you need quad sli titans to run crysis 3 and smaa turned up to like x16 at high resolutions. Totally redundant and they should know better!

I use quad sli Titans to play Crysis 3 and it looks beautiful fully maxed @1600p.:D

I bet it does - but please don't rub it in - I am stuck with a solitary 6970 Lightning. Lol. Enjoy your mega rig. :p

There is nothing wrong with a 6970 lightning, some of the cards I own are even older but I still have a lot of fun with then. I still use my HD 5970s even though they don't have a lot of vram they can still get the job done.:)

If you can not use than 2gbs of vram on a Titan before it runs out of gas I don't think there is any other card that is going to do better.

RAM usage isn't linked to GPU usage though. Say a new game comes out with super high res textures, RAM will get filled up, but GPU usage won't go up much.
