hi guys i have just bought a new monitor viewsonic vp2770-led 2560x1440p
to replace my old viewsonic vx2235wm 1680x1050
and it's great

also i can't believe that my current gpu can run the lastest games well at the higher res.
hitman absolution all on ultra with no aa average fps is 38
tomb raider reborn is locked at 60fps with no AA
crysis 3 all on ultra no AA and the fps are average 45
some guys on here might not believe that my card can run at that rez,but its true.
so i dont have to upgrade my card just yet (as i was expecting to be upgrading to a 7970 to run the newer games,
so i have saved some cash

it's great that on 1440p that aa is not really needed.
i tryed far cry 3 and that did run poor.( only game) ultra runs at 22fps for me

Yep, same model. Although mine has some minor bleed along the bottom it is still a lot better than the dells I tried. No annoying blue tinge that the dell had either. AG coating much superior also.

Not sure why the viewsonic isn't more popular.

I don't seem to have any of that,its where its lighter at the bottom (middle of screen) i had to calibrate it the brightness was set too high.
also its better that you can change the response time to run better.
i think the screen is great.really worth the money

and to think i was going to get a 1080p @ 27"
soooo happy i made the jump to 1440p

It's when you get light patches on a totally black screen. But yeh, it's a great screen and 1440p is far better for a 27 inch monitor than 1080p.

How does your 560 manage for playing games? I'm thinking you may need something a bit beefier now.

they run great with my 560 ti 2gb (overclocked core 950)
crysis 3 on high runs at 45fps average
tomb raider everything maxed part from tress.fx
not using any AA as i think it's not needed anymore.

Could you do me a big favour? Any chance you could download dpt (http://www.dataproductservices.com/dpt) and put it on with a black background and take a pic in a dark room so we can see what the bleed is like.

I'm considering one of these too.
