Do Spurs need a winger? Are they searching a ahead of an imminent departure? Or are they giving Bale free role. We need a striker Levy.

I have no idea where he would fit into Bayerns team. They had a 1st team that would make most managers moist and they have just bought Goetze to put into an already overflowing midfield. If it comes down to Bayern or United though, we haven't got a hope in hell.

Urgh, this could be a god awful season for us if we don't get a top class central midfielder. I can't think of any other midfielders that would be available and want to come to england that would fit the bill. All our direct opposition have / will strengthen considerably and I really think we will struggle without similar improvements. We can't expect City, Chelsea, Tottenham, Arsenal and even Liverpool to be so poor this season. Sad times.

It's clear that it's not about first team opportunities and obviously ££££. But then what we read might be complete BS, I mean he was having a medical at MUFC last week wasn't he?

Dint think Bayern paid massive wages. Could be all his agent work to get a better deal

Barca don't want to let him go, his ex coach at a bigger club wants him and then United want him. I think that we can be fairly certain that he isn't coming to England. It sounds like he knows that he is hot property and is just taking his sweet time to get the best deal.

there's a tiny snippet about this in todays telegraph saying we're contemplating a bid. i am starting to wonder if AVB and bale have discussed bale spear heading our attacks and i'm all for it. he can finish, no question and maybe wants to work on that part of his game.

a midfield 3 of dembele, sandro and paulinho with a pacey and creative attack of lennon, holtby and bale a.nother winger does sound like a very exciting prospect.

Pep Guardiola has just confirmed at a press conference that he's asked Bayern to sign Thiago, and that he's "the only player he wants".

Thiago's agent is also Pep's brother I believe.

agreed. I'm very happy with what we have.. I'f be a lot more happier with another CB and and CF if we are looking for depth.. I think that's all we need.

I think Moyes could struggle this year to get CL football unless we strengthen a fair bit. Really really bad time for him to take over regardless of how our squad looks but I doubt City will underachieve this year and Chelsea / Tottenham and even Arsenal could be realistic challengers.

I reckon Fergie picked the right time to go out. Tricky times!
