Right guys i have £1500 budget but can go to £1600 ,,,Wanting a good spec rig for gaming and abit of video eidting and streaming gameplay ,looking mainly at i7 plus the GTX 770 card the rest is up to you lads ,any tips on the best build for me

What OS would be on this build or is that extra ,not too sure about the case i like the NZXT Phantom 410 Enthusiast Midi Tower Case - Black/White would the system fit ,alll go for the full tower one

It's slightly over, yeah, but you can get Windows 7 OEM for about £50, which would knock £30 off. It'd perform brilliantly :) If you got two 7950s instead, you could sell all the games for at least £125.

Was thinking that about changing the cards ,not heard much about the 7950 they any good ,plus would save me money on going out buying new games for abit lol

The 7950 is an excellent card, yeah. I'd go with that myself. The mega bundle gives 8 games for each, you could keep one copy of each game and sell the other.

Similar performance apart from the Graphics. Sli 760 or xfire 7950 will be better in gaming terms. But then you are paying more. Unless you are really into overclocking, I don`t see the point in buying an expensive board like the GB OC, as you wont get the full benefit.
I did`nt add a sound card, as onboard audio is pretty good these days. But you could always add one at a later time if you feel you need to.

With the gaming deal on the 7950 it'll bring down the cost quite a lot after selling them. I think the 770 is a bit overpriced when two 7950s would perform so much better.

I agree that if you don't want to overclock much, a cheaper board would be better.

As for the sound card, I've got one of these and I was amazed at the difference - but it's definitely something that could be added later if wanted.

You wont get as much as you think for the games. Not with Steam, Amazon, Gamersgate, etc having big sales at he moment.

I'd think on average the games would fetch £10 each? I've seen on other forums today Sim City and Bioshock Infinite going for £15 each.

To put sound cards into perspective, my mobo has an onboard Via VT2021 audio codec:

Output: 7.1 + 2 channels, 24-Bit, 192KHz, 110dB

Compared to the sound card suggested previously:

Output: 5.1 channels, 24-bit, 192kHz, 116dB

Unless I'm missing something I see no gain from a soundcard... I'd personally spend a bit of money on headphones / speakers e.g. Creative Aurvana Live Headphones

Roll up roll up! Check your codecs here: http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/Audio-Codec-Comparison-Table/520/1
