US: News Room

Really looking forward to this.

Though I will wait for a few episodes to come in before starting to watch it, as I hate to watch 1 episode of a series a week

This show is a great pro-Obama, anti-Republican piece of propaganda. It's funny how it's trying to disguise itself as a neutral political commentary, even slightly on the right side.

Still, I watch it for the typical dynamic that Sorkin is able to create in his series, it's a shame that they don't comment on the current events, but rather focus on the retrospective take on politics. The show would be much more interesting if it was a more up to date commentary of the world events, especially concerning the recent months, in which a lot has been happening.

What is amusing is that you think either of the American partys are not right wing, there's the democratic right and he republican far right.
HVen't watched the show, must give it a look.

It'd be incredibly difficult to do that though.

Nowhere have I implied that, please don't put words in my mouth. All I said was that the show portrays itself as a politically neutral commentary (with the main character being a Republican that strongly opposes the Tea Party), whereas it clearly takes a stance on some of the issues that arise as the story goes on, with some ideas being associated with the Democratic Party, that are commonly known as the "left wing party" in the States, even though they haven't got much to do with that kind of politics. The series practically whitewashes the Obama's administration whilst criticising the Republicans on every issue at the same time.

Besides, that part of my post was clearly tongue in cheek, so you should probably abstain from taking it too seriously. I suggest you watch it if you enjoyed The West Wing and then come back telling me how wrong I am. :)

ive watched up to episode 4 now i cannot wait to see what happens but in a way i dont want to know. ill stick it in spoilers if no one wants to know.

so basically this black ops missions using chemical weapons obviously isn't a story that has been in the media recently whereas the other stories have been. it is however a recreation of the report of operation tailwind from Vietnam in 1970. that's all very well but it is what happened to certain members of staff at CNN after the report that has me concerned. at the end of this it will be a question of is there a third season and who will be getting fired as a result of the report.
