Hi, well i just bought grid 2 and i started it up and put the graphics on high and then i started to hear a buzzing noise coming from my graphics card i googled it and saw that it might be stressing it, i then opened a software that came with the graphics card called asus gpu tweak and saw while grid was running it was hitting 98% usage and the temp reaching about 60-70c. could there be a fault with my card? or am i doing something wrong?

Cpu: Intel i7 3770k @ 3.5GHz
Ram: 16GB (2x8GB) Corsair DDR3 (1600mhz)
Graphics card: Asus Gtx 660Ti

Sounds like it could be coil whine. If it is, its a common problem with graphics cards, usually when your getting high fps. Your gpu usage and temps are fine.

Why wouldn't it be maxing out :p?

Well this is a bit different from the normal questions posted like "my GPU is hitting 95c and I am only getting 75% usage":D

OP nothing wrong with 98% Gpu usage, this is good and your temps are excellent. As for the noise, probably as said above, coil whine is very common and with use it may even disappear. :)

It's a good thing that your card is maxing out... it means it's working as it should be. It also points to a possible GPU bottleneck with Grid 2 :p...

And those are very, very good temps for max load, I would consider overclocking it ;).

In this thread " argh my card is not being bottlnecked, working fine and running at decent temperatures!"

And what would ulot say is the max temp the card should be reaching?

Well that depends on a lot of things; card cooler, case cooling, ambient temp etc, however under AnandTech running furmark which is as hard a workout as your card will get Max temp was 78c, obviously their system is different but it gives you an idea, idle temp is 31c, have a look at the link I gave you and you will see temps for various games. :)
