Trayvon Martin: George Zimmerman Acquitted

If the races were reversed it wouldn't even get mentioned in the mainstream American media networks just like that 3 year old white kid who was shot by black teenagers.

Remember the same people who are saying justice for Trayvon are the same people who wanted OJ Simpson to go free no matter if he was guilty or not. NAACP and african-Americans in general will always support their own whether they're right or wrong.

I would be worried too remember those two white Brits who were gunned down a couple of years ago? the difference between them and Trayvon is those Brits didn't beat the snot out of the guy that shot him.

Yet the media made him out to be a skinhead and nearly every black person in America thinks he is.

This is an excellent video, I'd recommend people watch it.

This really shouldn't have even gone to trial in the first place, from the facts, there's just no way he could be convicted. Forgetting the stand your ground law, this case is the very definition of self defence, and defending yourself with an entirely reasonable amount of force.

The media have behaved in a disgraceful fashion, and Trayvon Martin was a long, long way from being the innocent young teenager gunned down in cold blood, as the American media are so keen to portray.
 
I watched the trial from day one Mark O'Mara did a great job poor guy has been getting death threats as soon as he took this case back in 2012.

I seriously doubt it will go to trial. They have nothing to suggest any of this is race related.

It's quite hilarious how they use the image of him as a kid in the media and ignore all the other images that came out of him with drugs, guns and throwing gang signs for the camera.

The worst thing is when MSNBC edited the phone call to make it sound like he racially profiled Trayvon Martin.

Of course all the black people in America saw this, and Zimmerman was a racist nazi skinhead since then.
 
Zimmerman was convicted of "being white" in the eyes of the media. When he turned out to be "hispanic" it caused problems for them.

I remember when the BBC originally reported it. I got the feeling that it the young lad hadn't done anything wrong. How wrong I was, and bad the BBC was for reporting it like that.

Forget race, forget politics and look at the basics.
One man with a gun. One young man without a gun.
Wouldn't you simply use the gun to threaten the individual to stand down? Would you fight, with no weapon, with someone who HAS a gun. Why do I get the impression that Zimmerman inflicted those injuries by himself and had deliberate intent to shoot him?
All he would have to do was point the gun. "Stop, do not come any closer or I will have to fire."
At the very very worst don't people shoot for foot or leg or shoulder or something that debilitates them? So in this case he out right killed Trayvon?
What's worse is that Zimmerman knew that the teenager was violent and of a powerful stature of sorts (5'11 and young) and knowing that if an accident like killing him ever happened to a black teenager he would need physical injuries to justify his plight.
Zimmerman most likely wanted to harm him. Be a cowboy. Show him who is boss. Maybe not to kill him but that's what happened. A man killed an unarmed man. That's the simplicity of it.
Zimmerman should have gone down for it but the evidence has brutally pointed to a self-defence plea which won the jury.

Who ever wrote that is a complete idiot. The court record show he went for his gun when he was down on the
ground and the kid was on top of him(also accepted by the police\court) hitting him as the witness has said.

Also he did draw his gun to scare the person he was breaking the Florida law.

I don't read news papers much but will have a look to see if they are deleting stuff.

The media are a bunch or jerks. Yesterday two young black guys killed another black guy who was working
at a store and nothing has been said. That guy(Akon) who said he and all the blacks should go back to Africa.

I don't think he understands that he will get killed by one of his brothers in no time.

That quote is ridiculous, written by someone who has no knowledge of firearms, probably the same type of person who would criticise the police for loosing off two rounds into a criminals chest rather than shooting them in the leg to wound them, or shooting the gun out of their hand like an action hero would do. Just because you have a gun doesn't mean any and all excuse is a reason to draw it on someone, it isn't the Wild West were if someone spills your pint your draw your gun on them.

Just because you have a gun doesn't mean it's going to diffuse a situation, for all intense purposes, what was presented to the court was that Zimmerman was confronted by Martin and spoken to him, so just because the kid walked upto him and said something (albeit aggressively according to testimony) that isn't grounds for Zimmerman to pull his gun on him, as presented the kid threw the first punch, so Zimmerman was caught off guard and knocked down before given the chance to draw his weapon. He was then on the floor long enough to be witnessed being pummelled by Martin, and long enough for him to shout for help multiple times, I can't remember if a time of around 30 seconds on the ground was quoted, this was all before the gun had been drawn and the shot fired.
 
Just been reading various comments on this on the internet. There are some seriously racist black people out there! Facts just don't register. I think the bloke is very lucky that he is part hispanic. A white American might not have been so fortunate :(

People need to realise that 'white' people don't hold a monopoly on been racist :mad:

Indeed.

The thought that has occurred to me as an additional factor is that though Zimmerman is deemed Hispanic, the name is very Jewish sounding.

And American blacks absolutely hate Jews! (Far more so than they do white people)
 
If the protests turn violent, I place the blame directly on media outlets. There are a lot of naive people out there who don't question what they read, and they have been totally misled by news reports on this. The facts on both sides have been selectively ignored.

I would go as far to say as editing 9/11 calls is borderline criminal.
